Vic and Carl Sagerquist took this ride. Vic wanted to find a good destination. Since we were planning a trip to the Burning Man festival, why not ride the bikes there to get familiar with the route. So we did.

We took the CA 99 to the US 50 through Lake Tahoe to the US 395. Carson City is a nice place. Reno is big. And clean. I was in the lead on I 80 and passed the NV 427 turnoff. We traveled about 25 miles too far before deciding to turn around. The Nevada State Police helped us make that decision! We turned around and found the NV 427 offramp which led to the NV 447 that would take us north through Empire NV to Gerlach NV and the NV 34 to the Burning Man entrance. About 100 miles on a straight, boring, two lane desert road.

Man! That NV 447 is a LOOOONG ride!
