TV Ceiling Mount

About the Photo Sequence
I wanted to watch TV and movies in bed so I mounted a TV hanger on the ceiling in the bedroom. It included an electrical outlet controlled by the wall switch. This documents the build.

Photo Details
This photo sequence contains 9 frames. Each frame is a finite 1366 pixels wide but height was left to its own based on the crop. I based the picture size on an email program's display window asuming that the picture would not be automatically resized to fit. This technique kept the file size down, the largest being just less than 521k making it easy to send and receive through email. All photos were taken with a Nikon D810.

TV Ceiling Mount

Here's the mount. When the TV is hanging, it has to be above my and Cindy's head.

First I centered it on the window, then drilled a small hole and stuck a wire through it.
That's so I can find it after climbing into the attic.

Lots of measuring and marking before drilling.

Next is the electrical outlet.

The two switches for the fan and lights get removed.

Now there's four switches. Top two control the ceiling fan and it's lights. Lower right turns on the juice
to the ceiling outlet. Why? Smart TVs can listen and watch YOU. But not if the power to it is shut off!

Connecting the outlet is simple.

It's pluged in, and works well!

With a pin, I can lift and hold it further out of the way.
